Function is to protect pumps against heat abuse. Engineered to vent when water temperature exceeds valve's specifications. Mounted in the low-pressure side of a pump manifold. Handles a maximum of 200 PSI. Can reach a temperature of 140 deg F. Replace a broken or malfunctioning thermal relief valve. Offical OEM from AR North America.
